The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research said, “One of the strategic plans of the MHESR is internationalization the Kurdistan Universities. In doing this and based on our various projects, we will have enough strife to fulfil the plan.”
This Announcement of Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, was on Wednesday, 24th of August meeting. The meeting was held to farewell from the first group qualified students of Kurdistan Universities to the Republic People of China. Dr. Khatab Shekhani, the Ministry’s director of finance and administration was also present. Dr. Yusuf Goran also said, “I am glad that you have been chosen in a transparent process to visit China and can see its development in close.” He also showed his happiness to start this process to let the Kurdish students aware in the progress of China. He explained that these types of visit would continue yearly in which a group of students would be sent to China and vise versa.
In another part of his speech, Dr. Yusuf Goran said, “Besides the scientific traveling, traveling to familiarity with the civilization of the country is also important in which lead to increase the scientific information of the qualified students, because students are not being able to educate themselves only via classrooms, but they have to see different nations and countries. They should be familiar to those countries’ civilization and cultures to know how they have reached the progress.”
In the end of his speech, Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research said to the students, “You will represent Kurdistan. So, you better send the message of your nation to Chinese people.”
In reverse, the head of the delegate -have been chosen in 10 universities of Kurdistan-thanked the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Dr. Khatab Shekhani, the director of administration and finance of the Ministry and promised to get enough information and pass it back to the people of Kurdistan since they came back.
Traveling of this group of Kurdistan Universities’ Students to China traces to a meeting with Republic People of Chania consulate in Kurdistan Region and Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 29th of June, 2016 at the Ministry’s HQ. The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research suggested to Chinese Consulate to have enough coordination with the Kurdistan Region Universities’ students to go to China’s universities to be familiar with economy, scientific aspects of the country.
