The MHESR Offer Armenia Scholarship Seats

Dr. Yusuf Goran said, “Kurdistan Government and its people want to have a good tie with Armenia; culturally and scientifically in specific, because in terms of genocide and massacre, we share the similar history.”

 

 

 

This announcement of Dr. Yusuf Goran came up at a meeting with H.E. Mr. Karen GRIGORYAN – the Ambassador of Armenia in Iraq on 23rd of Feb, Tuesday.

 

 

In the meeting, in which Dr. Jwan Jalal Shareef – General Manager of Sending Students to Abroad Office - attended, the way of tying connection between both sides were talked about.  In doing this, the Armenia Ambassador to Iraq said, “The past year more than 280 Iraqi students to finish their studies – Medicine especially – visited Armenia.”  He also demanded the Kurdistan Region to have some scholarship seats to Armenia in Kurdish Language.

In this context, Dr. Yusuf Goran after welcoming the guests, approved the demand of some scholarship seats to Armenia in Kurdistan Region till they can keep their studies going on and showed his ministry’s approval to try to open Kurdish Department at Armenian Universities and help the Armenian Embassy and Government to study Kurdish Language vis-a-vise Persian, Turkish, and Chinese in its universities.  This also will be make the connection between both sides is more tied and said, “Since our people and government wants to tie tis connection with Armenia Government it is because there are a lot of Kurds living there.  At the same time there are a great number of Armenians living in Kurdistan.   So, this improves our tie with each other.  The same enemy used to massacre both of as at the same time historically.”
