18 March 2007
An agreement on Iraq's draft oil law was reached by Iraq's main political players at the end of February 2007. This draft oil law includes several companion laws and annexes. The KRG would like to invite you to a seminar on Thursday 22nd March from 10:30am to 2pm, in London (programme and a light lunch).
During this seminar, the KRG Minister for Natural Resources and the KRG Spokesman will present a brief account of the main points in the draft oil law and the annexes, in addition to a longer presentation of the main ideas expected to be in the draft revenue sharing law. The KRG will also present model contracts, guidelines, and business opportunities in the Kurdistan Region. This will be followed by a Q&A session.
We invite:

2. The media covering energy issues, both in the region and internationally
3. Lawyers and experts particularly interested in the oil law and revenue sharing issues
4. Individuals and companies interested in business opportunities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq
5. Diplomats and political representations in London who are interested in the issues of oil and gas in Iraq and the Middle East
