Action Contre la Faim (ACF) is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices.
ACF is looking for 2 Psychosocial Worker (Man or Woman) for its Kurdistan Regional Government program.
Work place: Main Office: Erbil, Project location: Refugee camps, Erbil and Dohuk Governorate
Type of contract: fixed-term contract of 7 months (with possible extension)
Main Assignment: To contribute to the good implementation of the Mental Health and Care Practices program and to the good understanding by the beneficiaries with focus on quality. Specific Activities: - Activities implemented within a multidisciplinary team (psychologists & psychosocial workers, WASH team) & done in collaboration with organizations working in the same area. - Provide Psychological First Aid to the new refugees arriving in camps (update mapping of services provided at the camp level, identify beneficiaries in need..) - Organize a proper follow up of refugees in need of specific support / vulnerable beneficiaries - Support the WASH emergency teams in providing sensitive support to the beneficiaries (support the Emergency Wash teams in the implementation of community activities and hygiene promotion sessions, through advices on communication…) - Reinforce the MHCP team (Support regular activities of MHCP department) - Support the implementation of MHCP activities in KRG (relationships with partners in each area of intervention, on-going assessment of refugees needs..) - Reporting (fill up the reporting tools, report to the Head Of Project the strengths and points of improvement, contribute to the ACF psychosocial monthly report..) Recruitment Criteria: - Qualification in social work, community work, education or health - Good knowledge of psychosocial work - Sense of confidentiality and non-judgemental attitude - Experience with multidisciplinary team - Good communication skills - Commitment to the refugee issue - Adaptability and flexibility required - Knowledge of Kurdish Syrian Culture and language - Relationships with international and local actors - Ability to build good relationships - English, Kurdish and Arabic
