The Ministry of Higher Education Ask Egyptian Consulate for Clarification

 After a student from one of the Egyptian universities was asked to take a Kurdistan’s flag away when he put during his discussion of master theses by one of the lecturer, this event caused a reaction among Kurdish people. 

In doing this, Abas Akram – the ministry of higher education and scientific research’s spokesman - said, “To follow the event today, Wednesday, Jan 13th, 2016 based on the signature of the minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr. Yusuf Goran, our ministry sent an official letter to Egyptian Consulate in Erbil. 

The spokesman also mentioned, “In the letter, the ministry of higher education and scientific research asked to enough clarification from Egyptian Consulate in Erbil upon the event and the behavior of the lecturer against the Kurdistan’s flag and the student.

Abas Akram also said, “If is cleared that the event was done in purpose and planned against the Kurdish student and Kurdistan’s flag, then our ministry will review its contact with the university and follow enough procedures.”
