Dr. Yusuf Goran emphasizes Connection with a delegate of AUB

 The KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in his meeting with a delegate at American University of Beirut emphasized KRG institutions ties with education institutions in the world in higher level.

In the meeting which was hold in Jan 10th, 2016 with presence of Dr. Jwan Jalal Shareef, general director of abroad students and cultural connection, and Dr. Khatab Sheikhani, general director finance and administration.  In the beginning, Dr. Iman Nawheer, the head of delegate showed her feeling that their university is in the list of accredit university of KRG ministry of higher education and scientific research.

In another part of his speech Dr. Iman Nawheer after skimming to the history of establishing their university, she pointed to the system of education at their university especially at general health.  She also said that the goal of the visit to Kurdistan Region is to make a good tie with KRG ministry of higher education and scientific research.  She hoped after getting familiarity with education system and the way of equalizing the certificate in Kurdistan Region; establish a strong academic base with KRG ministry and universities.

In referring to the speech, Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research mentioned the importance of AUB and said, “The ministry of higher education and scientific research is pleasure and tries to expand its academic and scientific ties with universities and great educational institutions in world.  In this context, Dr. Yusuf Goran directed them to visit Kurdistan universities in close especially polytechnic and the universities which have faculty of Medicine College.  He showed how he was sure that these types of meetings and visiting will lead to a product-able connection and mutual agreement.

In another part of his speech, the minister of higher education and scientific research said, “The ministry of higher education and scientific research always opens its door to the universities which their ranks in the top.  He was continuing saying that comparing to its history of other countries; Kurdistan Region has a younger age in terms of higher education.  However, considering this little of experience in higher education, Kurdistan Region has grown in quantity in which in 1991 there was only on university available in Kurdistan Region, but now we have almost 30 universities besides technical institutions.  He explained that his ministry will strive to increase the quality of study.  For this reason, we will need the academic and universities which own a high quality standard of education around the world..
