His Excellency Professor Dlawer A. Ala`Aldeen the minister of higher education and scientific research of Kurdistan Region said; the British embassy has so far issued 30 students visa. He also added during the joint press conference with the British ambassador to Iraq John Jenkins today at the University of Kurdistan in Erbil that about 250 students visa still pending but the proceedings for issuing them will be completed soon.
His Excellency called the students who are admitted for studying in UK to visit the ministry to facilitate the process of obtaining visa.
His Excellency pointed out that the second round for HCDP (fellowship program) will be announced soon and can apply for online to grant more transparency and accuracy in the process, he also added; the coming round of the program will admit 1500 students for studying abroad.
The British ambassador said; his country agreed to grant visa for scholarship students, he also praised the new and significant progress in the abilities and qualifications of students in the region, he also expressed his country`s readiness to develop and strengthen relations with the higher education in Kurdistan.
