The KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research decided that tuition fees at Kurdistan Region’s private universities and institutes to be changed from two annual installments into five installments.
Abas Akram The KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s Spokesman, said: “After discussion and consultation with the Commission of Education and Higher Education in the Kurdistan Parliament, the ministry decided that tuition fees at Kurdistan Region’s private universities and institutes to be changed from two installments into five annual installments, so as to ease the burden on students during the current economic and financial crisis which are imposed on the region.”
He also clarified that tuition fees were decreased in different departments at universities and institutes in the current academic year. He pointed out that these decisions were made in terms of taking into consideration the need of the students during the current economic and financial crisis which the region are passing through.
