Are you interested in studying in the UK and need to improve your English skills?

Representatives of some of the UK's leading English language centres are visiting Kurdistan in May for a Student Fair where all prospective students and their families are encouraged to come along, meet staff, and find out more.

All the language centres are members of English UK (www.englishuk.com), an organisation which insists on high standards of teaching and welfare, ensuring that students get the support they need to achieve the best results possible and settle quickly in a new country.

English UK and its members are keen to work closely with the Kurdish education system and have already visited once to find out about the Human Capacity Development Programme.

Jodie Gray, senior international manager for English UK, said: ‘We know that while there are good universities in Kurdistan, many people want to continue their education abroad and specifically in the UK's top universities. These students need excellent English skills, and we know it can be hard to find good, reputable language centres.

‘We believe we can help. We are organising a student fair on May 14 at the Erbil Rotana Hotel, when representatives of 21 of our member language centres will be present. These members have particular experience of working with students who may be away from home for the first time and need to become proficient in academic English.

‘We want to encourage any prospective students and their families to come along, meet everyone, and ask any questions they have about learning English in the UK.
