A global Hungarian company for oil exploration showed its readiness for the training and employment of Kurdish university graduates in the disciplines of administrative, geology and engineering.
This came during meeting of the Oil Company with the advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for Academic Affairs Dr. Beriwan Khailany. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Department of scholarship and cultural relations Dr. Govan Sherwany and Qasim Nawaz the human resources manager of the company.
The company is offering to train six recent graduates from the universities of the region in the disciplines of management, geology and engineering to be trained for one year before being appointed by the company. Selection of those students will be through competition via interview and examinations.
The representatives of the ministry welcomed this initiative and considered it a positive step for a closer relationship between academic institutions and oil industry, which aims to find practical applications for the academic curriculum.
