A Delegate from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Visit Some Islamic Republic of Iran’s Institutes

                                                                                                                        In the context of its visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a delegate of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the head of Dr. Yusuf Goran, The Minisetr of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited some scientific institutes of Islamic Republic of Iran on 26/4/2016.

In the first visit of second day, the delegate of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, visited the Bio-Technology University and were welcomed by Dr. Muhammad Ali Sannaati, the vice president of the institute, and Dr. Amir Musavi, the head of the university board council and its members were warmly welcomed.

In a meeting, Dr. Amir Musavi, the head of the university’s board council, after welcoming the delegate and gave a brief about the university and said, “The Bio- Technology is the first university over Iran in which has research on medicine, agriculture and industry.” He also pointed to the number of the teachers and the administration member staffs of the university and said, “The Bio- Technology belongs to the ministry of technology and scientific research of Islamic Republic of Iran. “ He focused on that the university’s faculties consist of some important departments which were important to the future of Islamic Republic and hoped to continue the relationship between both sides.

In reverse, Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, after thanking the great welcoming and said, “We in Kurdistan Region have some important centers and research centers.”  He brought the strategic center of research of the University of Koya, Salahaddin, and Sulaimani as examples. He also said, “In Kurdistan we have a special medicine university; however, there are medicine departments in the majority of universities. These all make us start our relationship especially exchanging the lecturers, mutual research members, and using each other’s centers for the PhD and master researchers.”  He explained that issuing the scientific researches, and having scientific conference, mutual seminars cause increasing our relationships.

In the meeting also, offering six seats of scholarship for the Kurdistan Universities by the Bio-Technology were emphasized on; so that they will be able to have scientific research during six months at the Bio-Technology university.

In another part of the meeting, there was decided to help Sulaimani University especially in establishing the Sulaimani Research Center in which is now under startup and  also having the training centers at the Technology University for the Running Staff of the center.  It was also announced that the Master and PhD researchers can use the Bio- Technology centers for their scientific researches.

In the meeting also, the university responsibilities decided to coordinate the Salahaddin University’s college of Agriculture especially in the way of increasing wheat products.  For this, there was focusing on lecturers training and using centers’ departments.

The evaluation of the scientific publications of Kurdistan Region in an academic way was discussed about.

After the meeting, the delegate of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) visited some laboratories of the Bio- Technology and was familiar to the way of working the different parts of the departments.

In another part of the visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the delegate of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the Amir Kabir for Technology and were warmly welcomed by Dr. Ahmad Mutamadi, the head of the University and numbers of board members of the university.

In the meeting, Dr. Ahmad Mutamadi, the head of the University said, “We and Kurdistan have a depth and long-time and mutual relationship and now our university wants to spread its relationship with over world universities, because we together can do some great tasks.”

In reverse, Dr. Yusuf Goran hailed the way of increasing their relationships and said, “Kurdistan Region and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research are welcoming your initiatives, because the mutual coordination between the universities will cause to exchange experience and experts of each other.  In doing, this we can step forward.

In another part of the meeting, there was discussion on the aspects and sides in which Amir Kabir University can start their activities with the Kurdistan Region Universities.  In doing this, after the decision of opening an engineering-medicine department at Sulaimani University there was decided to have a visit to Sulaimani University by the Amir Kabir University expert delegate to have enough facilities to open the new department.  Then, the delegate will focus on the matter that will be the place of consideration.

At the same time, the Amir Kabir University expert delegate will visit Salahaddin University to have enough facilities to open the new department of oil-engineering at the Salahaddin University.

The delegate will also talk about the way of opening engineering of oil and computer and studying MBA and PhD at the Polytechnic University of Sulaimani.

The Amir Kabir University founded in 1958 and is a participant with the Sulaimani University at a program and there was an agreement with the Salahaddin University regarding activating the agreement.
