Change the age requirement for postgraduate studies

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has decided in its Board Meeting on 05/04/2011 to change the age requirement for postgraduate studies abroad.

The upper limit of the age requirement to study Masters changed from 40 years to 45 years, and Doctoral studies from 45 years to 50 years.

The change in age requirement covers students who wish to complete study at their own expense and therefore will be granted sabbatical leave, but welfares (salary benefits) will be deducted from salary and tuition fees not be covered by the ministry.

It is worth mentioning that this decision was intended to give more chances to study abroad, for and to develop a wider higher education sector.
