The Minister of Higher Education is Requested to Participate into the IAU

 The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research instructed the Kurdistan Universities to be members of the International Association of Universities  (IAU) to acquaintance with the world’s universities in which thrive scientific exchange, agreement, and connection between them and those universities.

 

This speech of Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research came at meeting with Professor Dzulkifli Abdul Razak - the head of IAU-May 3rd in which he visited the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

In the meeting in which Dr. Muslih Dhouki, the president of Dhouk University, Prof. Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the head of IAU said, “It is my first time to visit Kurdistan Region and Iraq.  He also added that in the visit it was clear for him that KRG cares about education of higher education at institutes and universities.  He also said that because of the tight security of Kurdistan Region, I will recommend a suggestion to our organization board so that the conference of 2019-2020 of IAU will be held in Kurdistan Region.

In reverse, Dr. Yusuf Goran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research after welcoming the Prof. to Kurdistan Region, gave a brief about the activities of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and said, “He is so happy to see that Kurdistan Universities be a part of the Organization till they express themselves and offer extra academic and scientific services to Kurdistan.  He also said that being part of the organization has its significance, because this organization will be a great source to acquaintance to the world’s universities to have dialogue and exchanging scientific exchange and agreement between universities.”

In another part of the meeting the head of IAU invited the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to participate in the 15th conference of the organization in Bangkok to attract support to Kurdistan Universities.
