Duhok University holds Forum on unifying Kurdish Internal Front against the Threats

"If our nation were not united and did not had one united stance regarding all those political and economic issues which are facing the Kurdistan Region, the crisis would have been graver," Dr. Yousif Gorran, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kurdistan Regional
Government said.
 
This statement by his Excellency came during presenting a speech in Duhok University Forum on unifying the Kurdish internal front as a strategy against the dangers which are facing the Kurdistan region. 
 
The forum, which was supervised by the KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, was opened on March 2nd, 2015 in Duhok University's Conference Hall in attendance of Dr. Yousif Gorran, presidents of the universities of Duhok, Zakho, Soran, and Nawroz, university lecturers, experts and political analyzers.
 
During the forum many different political researches on the political issues in the Kurdistan Region arena were presented by university lecturers. Researchers shed light on the Kurdistan region's strong points in the area, as well as those issues which are facing the Kurdistan region. 
Addressing the forum, Dr. Yousif Gorran appreciated Duhok University for holding the forum and taking the issue into consideration which is related to the community's individuals and organizing a unified Kurdish dialogue on the decisive issues.
 
"All universities in the Kurdistan Region should identify the current sensitive issues of Kurdistan in order to organize similar forums aiming at raising awareness of Kurdistan Region's people about the region's issues and identifying proper issues for the issues Dr. Yousif Gorran said.
 
He also said:" all citizens should be aware about the sensitivity of the situation and those issues which are facing the Kurdistan region, either those issues which are related to the war on terror, in which the Kurdish nation and brave Peshmerga forces are participating, or those current issues between Erbil and Baghdad on some topics that made the Kurdish people worried."  
 
"We should all talk about unifying the Kurdish stance and the unifying the political message of our nation, since if our nation were not united and did not have one united stance regarding all those political and economic issues which are facing the Kurdistan Region, the crisis would have been graver and would have had more bad consequences."
 
The KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research  
Asked university lecturers to make more researches on the sensitive issues, and more frequently discuss those issues within the academic and scientific centers. 
 
During the forum many scientific researches with data and polls on the political issues in the Kurdistan Region arena as a strategy against facing the issues were presented.
