His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kurdistan Regional Government opened an Institute for Computer Sciences in the city of Sulaimania on Saturday.
Professor Dlawer A. Ala’Aldeen said during the festival, "I call on students to pay attention to the Kurdistan Regional research processes in all areas, and to focus on their studies and scientific communication in order to serve the country in a modern and technological way."
The festival which was attended by many academics and university presidents from all Iraqi provinces displayed the works and achievements of students in technical communication and electronics, computing and networks.
This institute is considered one of the few institutes in Iraq that are specialized in the field of computer sciences.
