Koya University grants Bachelor Certificate to (880) Graduates

 In the presence of the representative of the KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and dozens of officials, specialists and academics, the graduation ceremony of the tenth round of Koya University students was hold October 11, 2015.

The ceremony held under the sponsorship of Dr. Yusuf Goran, the KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Dr. Karim Abdul, Advisor to the KRG Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended the ceremony as the representor of the ministry. During the ceremony the certificate of Bachelor was granted to (880) graduates from Koya University.
 
 Dr. Karim Abdul reiterated his and the ministry’s support for the progress and the development which the university is witnessing, urging professors and students to continue in this path of progress.
 
Koya University is located in the city of Koya, which is 1.0 hr drive to the East of the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil in Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
 
 
The Koya University was established in 2003 and has developed noticeably. In 2010, Koya University was restructured from colleges to faculty systems to enhance the interactions between similar academic fields. Today the University has 4 faculties -Engineering, Sciences and Health, Humanities and Social Sciences, Education and a School of Medicine which consist of 25 departments in different fields, such as Petroleum Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Clinical Psychology, Social Science and Medical Microbiology as well as Sport Education.
