Ministry of Higher Education honors the 27th Commemoration of Halabja Gas-attack

 On the occasion of the 27th commemoration of Halabja city's chemical bombardment by the ousted Baath regime in March 16, 1988, the KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research honored the victims of the massacre by standing silent for several moments for the pure soles of the martyrs.

On early March 16, 2015 counselors, general directors, and staff of the KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's Divan in Erbil, honored victims of Halabja gas-attack massacre by standing silent for several moments for the pure soles of the martyrs, paid tribute to pure soles of
5000 martyrs of Halabja, and commemorated this tragic massacre in our nation's history.
 
In the  27th commemoration of Halabja city's chemical bombardment, the KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's employees showed their condoles and sympathy for the families of the victims, hoping such crimes never reoccur in any part of the world. They also hoped that families of the victims of Halabja gas-attack to be re-compensated, and more services to be offered to Halabja civilians.
 
They also congratulated the people of Halabja on the occasion of making Halabja a governorate, which was one of the great dreams that fortunately came true and Halabja became a governorate, thus implementing daily administrative affaires of local citizens are to be fulfilled within their governorate
