Minister of Planning and the Classification Committee Discuss Classification System

Web News 01 March, 2012

01 March 2012, Erbil – H.E. Dr. Ali Sindi, KRG Minister of Planning, met the KRG's Companies and Contractors Classification Committee.

The purpose of the meeting was to amend Regulation Number (1) of (2007), related to registration, classification and grading of companies and contractors in the Kurdistan Region. Members of the Committee presented changes and amendments to some Article of the Regulation, and then the Minister of Planning presented his observations on the topic.

It is worth mentioning that these amendments offer more flexibility and decreases the bureaucratic procedures of the classification process. This was necessitated by the fact that the number of companies, operating in the various sectors in the Kurdistan Region, is on the rise.
