Minister of Planning and a World Bank Delegation Discuss Private Sector Development

On 05/07/2011 H.E. Dr. Ali Sindi, KRG Minister of Planning, received a World Bank delegation headed by Dr. Christopher Rimmer, Private Sector Development Specialist.

The delegation presented a brief about the World Bank (WB) projects in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region (KR). The projects include private sector development, public-private partnership and review of regulatory capacity.

Dr. Sindi thanked the Bank for the continuous support they offer to KR, adding that the Ministry of Planning aims to develop the private sector through accurate analysis of the business climate and learning from other countries successful experiences. Dr. Sindi requested further cooperation in this area to develop the private sector and the Kurdistan economy in general.
