Erbil, 4/29/2012 – Dr. Ali Sindi, Minister of Planning of the Kurdistan Regional Government, received Mr. Jeroen Roodenburg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq.
During a meeting, the Dutch ambassador expressed his happiness to visit Kurdistan and stated that an office of the Dutch Embassy would be opened in Erbil soon. He added that this step would consolidate the bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Netherlands in various fields, which would encourage and facilitate the coming of Dutch investors to invest in the Region, since the Kurdistan Region is now a destination for investors all over world. He further stated that the Dutch companies are very much willing to invest here, especially in the oil and gas and agricultural sectors.
Later, the two sides discussed the current situation of Iraq and the region in general.
