December 12, 2012 – Upon the completion of its mission in the Kurdistan Region and for the announcement of the findings of the second phase of RAND Corporation’s activities in the Region, the KRG Ministry of Planning held an expanded conference for RAND Corporation at Erbil Rotana Hotel, attended by representatives from all KRG line ministries and departments.
At the conference RAND announced the findings of its studies and investigations in the sectors of health, education, data and information, and the private sector. It also highlighted the main strengths and weaknesses in those areas through which the government would be able to further address these sectors and find appropriate solutions to fill the gaps.
It is worth mentioning that the Kurdistan Regional Government has signed an agreement with the RAND Corporation to develop the areas of health, education, data and information, and the private sector.
