Erbil, 13 August 2012 – Under the direct supervision of Dr. Ali Sindi, Minister of Planning of Kurdistan Regional Government, the Ministry of Planning has initiated the 2013 investment budget preparation process of the KRG.
In this regard, Dr. Sindi met separately with Mr. Yasin Abu Bakr Mawati, Minister of Electricity, and Mr. Dilshad Shehab, Minister of Municipalities, in order to discuss each ministry’s plan for 2013 with respect to their ongoing projects, ways of implementing them, and allocation of estimated budget for the year 2013.
During the meetings, they emphasized the importance of maintaining the equal distribution of projects throughout the Kurdistan Region, as well as giving priority to the completion of the ongoing projects currently under implementation. Moreover, the ministers referred to the importance of taking supervision and reserve rates into account for all new projects.
