Erbil, 1/7/2012 - The Ministry of Planning held its 9th International Donors Meeting, which focused on the annual KRG budget process. The event was well attended by representatives from the United Nations, World Health Organization, British and French Consulates, JICA, and other international organizations.
H.E. Dr. Ali Sindi, Minister of Planning, led the meeting with a presentation on the general workings of the KRG budget process and the specifics of the 2012 budget. Following his presentation, H.E. took questions from attendees, and addressed the regional media.
It should be noted that the International Donor Meeting series will resume on a bi-monthly basis, after being put on a brief hiatus. The next meeting will be held in September.
