On 24/10/2011 H.E. Dr.
Ali Sindi, KRG Minister of Planning, received Mr. Osama Makkawi, the Deputy
Representative of UNICEF to Iraq.
First Mr. Makkawi highlighted the UNICEF
projects in the Kurdistan Region and talked about the ongoing development of
the Region.
Dr. Sindi stated
that the MoP highly values the UNICEF projects particularly MICS4 project, the
indicators and outcomes of which will be crucial to the planning process. He
added that the MoP is willing to co-finance the supplementary projects that aim
to utilize the MICS4 data in the planning and policy-making processes.
