12/07/2011, Erbil – H.E. Dr. Ali Sindi, KRG Minister of Planning, received a UNAMI delegation headed by Mr. Daniel Augstburger, UNAMI Chief Humanitarian Affairs Officer.
The delegation highlighted the current development of the UNDAF projects covering all the sectors. The UNDAF project is the UN agencies framework within which to assist Iraq. The delegation mentioned that the Kurdistan Region’s characteristics are taken into consideration in the development and implementation of the projects within the UNDAF framework.
Dr. Sindi suggested co-financing projects implemented in the Kurdistan Region. Both sides agreed to use this approach in coordination with the line ministries.
