08/09/2011, Erbil – Dr. Ali Sindi, the KRG Minister of Planning, received Mr. Woochan Chang, KOICA’s Resident Representative in Erbil. In a meeting they discussed the cooperation and coordination between the two sides and KOICA’s plans for 2012 support to the KRG.
Dr. Sindi stated that the Kurdistan government and people are highly appreciative of the various types of support extended to the KRG by the Korean government through KOICA since 2003. He added that the trainings provided to the KRG civil servants are very valuable and should be continued in 2012.
Mr. Chang highlighted the 2012 projects and trainings to be provided in the Republic of South Korea as the Korean government wishes to strengthen relations with the KRG.
Finally both sided reiterated the importance of cooperation and coordination to enhance the capacity of the KRG staff and strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
