At the continuation of 2014 budget preparation by the Ministry of Planning, the Minister of Planning Dr. Ali Sindi held special meeting with Mr. Yassen Shekh Abo-Baker the Minister of Electricity (KRG) at the meeting both Ministers discussed the on-going electricity projects, which currently (119) projects  throughout Kurdistan region are under the implementation.

The allocated budget for the Ministry of Electricity is 1 trillion and 797 billion and 154 million Iraqi dinars, the projects currently under the implementation are setting up (SCADA) and (PABX) for all electricity produce power station and 132KV in all three provinces in KRI, and expanding the transmission line to new residential urban and rural area throughout Kurdistan, also constructing a new electricity directorate offices.

The Minister of Planning reiterate that the electricity projects will treated as an priority by the government and (KRG) will continues to invest in electricity until power issue resolve indefinitely.
