GD of Investment Budget

The General Directorate is performs planning for government investment and proposes the funding of the investment projects to be included in KRG yearly budget, then distributes it to the different sectors according to the provinces, rural and civil areas, by taking into consideration when defining the constructional projects that priority is given to the projects that have been funded by the investment budget previously. This is accomplished in coordination with other related ministries and follow up on the implementation of these projects is conducted in a professional matter.

According to the law of the Ministry of Planning, the General Directorate of Budget Plan investment consists of the following directorates:

• Directorate of the Priority study of projects
• Directorate distribution of projects (in accordance to the geographical location)
• Directorate of project feasibility
