On 13\03\2011 H.E. Dr. Ali Sindi, KRG Minister of Planning, met the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq and head of JICA in Iraq to discuss the Japanese projects in Kurdistan.
The Japanese Ambassador stated that the Japanese government intends to continue the implementation of projects in electricity, municipalities and agriculture fields in the Kurdistan Region. He added that the Japanese government extends its loan project to the Iraqi government, from which the share of the Kurdistan Region is specified to spend on projects that enhance the government’s delivery of services to the public.
The Minister emphasized the KRG’s cooperation and extended gratitude to the Japanese government for its continuous contribution to the development process of the Kurdistan Region.
Finally the Minister of Planning expressed his condolences to the victims of Japan’s latest tsunami.
