The Iraqi Central Statistics Agency and the Kurdistan Regional Statistics Office carried out a survey of the services’ environment in Kurdistan and Iraq. The services covered by the survey included municipality
services, drinking water and sewerage in the urban and rural areas.
On 23/05/2011 at the beginning of a three-day workshop, the preliminary indicators were revealed. The indicators clearly show that the level of the Kurdistan Region’s services are much high than the ones provided in the rest of Iraq.
Reports on the survey results will be sent to the relevant agencies for their application in the improvement of the services.
