
For the purpose of setting up a special fund trust to support the aim and objectives of Kurdistan 2020 vision, today the October 31st of 2013 the Ministry of Planning (KRG) and (ICODHA) Iraq office have signed a memorandum of understanding this trust fund will be officially known as a (joint program for Kurdistan 2020 vision achievement)
This program will setup a mechanism for the KRG to benefits from the UN agencies expertise in-order to achieve the development objectives.
The Kurdistan region government will be the main funder of this trust fund and the UN will provide partial fund.
This trust fund will began its implementation at the beginning of 2014 and the first 20 projects under this trust fund will be selected based of the projects priority, the UN role under this agreement is organization and management and necessary sources direction for implementing projects.
During the agreement signing ceremony H.E Dr. Ali Sindi the Minister of Planning announce that this program will increase the capacity of development and cooperation in Kurdistan region, also will provide one window system for the projects development fund that Kurdistan region receives in future.
For her part Miss Jacqueline Badcock the head of (ICODHA). Emphasized that UN is dilated to work and cooperate with the Kurdistan region government in-order to achieve the adjectives of Kurdistan 2020 vision.
In the conference which was held Last month the (KRG) published numerous reports regarding its policy for development and Scio-economic act.
