Erbil, 8 August 2012 – Dr. Ali Sindi, Minister of Planning of the Kurdistan Regional Government, met with Marie-Hélène Bricknell, the World Bank’s special representative for Iraq, and her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed the projects and activities of the World Bank carried out in coordination with the KRG Ministry of Planning. The two sides further discussed ways to develop a policy for the implementation of PPP projects, which is suitable to the economic situation of the Kurdistan Region. Such a policy would ensure better implementation of projects and stricter adherence to international standards.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to further enhance cooperation and coordination, in order to enable them to carry out more projects that meet the needs of the people of the Kurdistan Region.
