of the Canadian Institute on Governance, and Mr. Peter
Batchelor, UNDP country director in
Iraq.
The meeting focused on
decentralization and federalism conference and its outcomes, which was
organized by the State Ministry for Governorates Affairs in Baghdad on 27
February 2012. The second topic was the second stage of the private sector
development project in the Kurdistan Region. The aim of this project is to
revitalise the government sector to enable it to play a more active role in the
development process of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The Canadian Institute of
Governance expressed its willingness to support this project through
cooperation and coordination with the KRG and Iraqi institutions.
