In presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Head of DFR, Mr. Daban Shadala assumes his role as Deputy Head of DFR

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (DFR.GOV.KRD) – In a ceremony at the Department of Foreign Relations (DFR) of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Sunday, Mr. Daban Shadala, the former KRG’s Representation in Spain started his duty as the Deputy Head of DFR.

The ceremony attended by Deputy Prime Minister of KRG, Qubad Talabani; Minister Safeen Dizayee, Head of DFR; Mr. Khalid Shwani, Minister of the Region for Kurdistani Areas outside the KRG Administrative Area; Mr. Umed Sabah, President of the Diwan of Council of Ministers; as well as a number of advisors and directors.

Minister Dizayee congratulated Mr. Shadala on assuming his new role, and offered his full support, while also wished him success in performing his important responsibility of strengthening the Region’s relations with the international community.

The minister commended Mr. Shadala in his previous position as the KRG’s Representation in Spain for boosting the Kurdistan Region’s relations in many areas.

He also noted that Mr. Shadala has long experience of foreign relations and looks forward to working with him.

In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Talabani stressed the role of the DFR as one of the most important pillars of the KRG, saying that the KRG premiership fully supports the DFR’s steps to strengthen the Region's diplomatic relations with the international community, which is one of the KRG’s priorities.
